Shab e Meraj | Isra and Meraj
Meaning of the word Meraj is going upward. Meraj in Arabic means stairs. In Persian it means ascend to the world of the upper world. Merajs have special significance in religion in Islam. On the night of Shabeer Meraj, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ascended in a miraculous way and met with Allah.
The word mirage means stairs. During the night, the beloved Prophet was taken from Mecca to Jerusalem to Masjidul Aksa. Then at the end of the 'Isra' period, the heavens are gone. All the prophets prayed two rak'ats in the prayer of the beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) at the Baitul Mukaddas. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) assembled here to greet goodbye to the Prophet (peace be upon him) as he walked from the earth and received the vision of Allah.
The polytheists of Makkah felt that the first phase of the trip (ie from Mecca to Jerusalem) was unrealistic because of the communication of the day. Because in that case it takes about a week to get there one night! So they start talking more and more. Calling Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) to confuse him.
